On this trip our chef will pamper you with rich, healthy meals from the colourful variety of the South African kitchen. There are two routes to choose from: Route A takes you in the cooler months on a long stretch through the Steppe of the Little Karoo. Route B, in the warmer months, is, with exception to a short trip in the Little Karoo, closer to the cool coastline.

Racing bike tour along the Garden Route to Cape Town

Along the white beaches of the Indian Ocean, through evergreen forests in the desolate Karoo Steppe, through the wild solitude of the Swart Mountains in the Wine lands of the Cape and further to Cape Town one of the most beautiful metropolis in the world. Mountain passes, solitude gorges, breathtaking coastline – all on very good, European standard roads. From November to March it is the South African summer, which means, particularly for the Cape Province, cycling with lots of sun and summery weather. Our accompanying vehicle carries your luggage, transports water and bananas with us and ensures a relaxed cycle. We explore Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula before heading into the solitude of the Hottentot-Holland Mountains. In Montagu we enjoy the rugged sandstone formations, and then we continue on the most beautiful hiking route in South Africa, the Otter Trail. This tour takes us along the rocky, evergreen coast for 5 days where we stay in simple log cabins in Tsitsikamma National Park. On this mountain bike tour we visit the most natural piece of coastline in South Africa, the ‘Wild Coast’, whose name best describes the wildness of this region. The tour provides experiences of the Xhosa culture and the fascinating landscape in one of the most beautiful, almost non-discovered bike trails of South Africa. Sometimes you cycle over hard sand along the beaches of the warm Indian Ocean, sometimes you carry your bike over boulders and other times you cycle up and down steep paths of the coastline. In two nature reserves the wildlife can be seen from your bike. On foot or by boat there are several rivers to cross. Depending on the water levels this can be a real adventure! The second part takes you onto the highest trails of South Africa in the Drakensberg Mountains a UNESCO world heritage site.

Hiking tour through two countries - from Cape Town to Windhoek

On this remarkable hiking tour real nature-lovers can closely get to know southern Africa. We will hike through the impressive, bizarre mountain world of the Cedar Mountains, canoe for half a day on the desert river, Orange, and hike in the Fish River Canyon - second biggest in the world. After going through the fascinatingly desolate Naukluft Mountains the tour takes us into the Namib Desert to Sossusvlei.
