MTB tour from Table Mountain to the Garden Route

Discover the diverse landscapes of the Western Cape by mountain bike. For some parts you cycle on the routes of the famous Cape Epic Mountain Bike Race. In perfect weather you cycle on single trails and lonely jeep tracks through the unique flora. This diversity is why Table Mountain, Boosmansbos Wilderness Area and the Outeniqua Mountains are included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Capensis. The road surface varies from smooth tracks to well-travelled flow trails to coarse gravel, sometimes over roots. The first half of the trip is on selected MTB trails at different places in the Western Cape, in the second half the route adopts more of a touring character with riding from one accommodation to the next. At the end of the trip you are rewarded with the beautiful beaches of Wilderness. Accommodation is in a comfortable 4* level throughout and mostly in privately run guest houses.

Mountain bike adventure around, and hiking tour on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro

The trail around Africa‘s tallest mountain and highest volcano is 230 miles long and involves 16000ft of climbing. It takes us through solitary rainforests, fertile fields of crop and through wild, dry acacia rich savannah, which is the home of the Masai. The tracks around the cloud shrouded, snow-capped roof of Africa are mainly dusty, sometimes rocky, with a few asphalt roads. We spend a night in a Masai cultural village to get to know their customs, songs and dishes. On a safari in Arusha National Park see some of Africa´s amazing wildlife. Two packages are available: with a local mountain bike guide only where you carry your luggage during the rides or a comfort option where a backup vehicle is always around so distances can be shortened to individual needs.
A dream for many; climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. To reach Uhuru Peak (19340 ft) of this huge ‘hill’ you don’t need any climbing skills, a general good hiking experience is sufficient. It is planned to hike to the the top of the mountain via the Marangu Route – the only one offering accommodation in huts. If they are fully booked, then tents will be used on either the Machame or Rongai Route.

Mountain Bike adventure onto Mt. Kilimanjaro 19341 ft.

A dream for many; climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. To reach Uhuru Peak 19340 ft of this huge ‘hill’ is a tough challenge by bike.
It is planned to ride from Kilema Gate to Kilema Camp with one night in a tent then to Horombo Hut and there joining the Marangu Route – the only one offering accommodation in huts. Reaching the top and ride past a few ice shelfs to Uhuru Peak is tough due to the altitude but a feat one can certainly be proud of. The 12000 ft descent over a day and a half is one of the longest in the world.
